Calling Levi consists of two married couples, Mark and Tammy Lashey and Rob and Stephanie Leight. Tammy and Stephanie are sisters who met Mark and Rob while attending college at Liberty University. Following graduation, the four joined the mission organization, World Help, based in Forest, VA. They sang with MISSION for four years. Rob and Stephanie then spent one year with the Children of the World orphan choir sponsored by World Help. Being involved with this extraordinary ministry gave each of them a deeper desire to reach the lost and point them to Jesus, right here and around the world. The four finished their time at World Help and relocated to Delaware. In July 2002, they set things in motion for their faith, family ministry, Calling Levi.
Mark and Tammy married in 1997. They had their first child, Abigail Jane, in July of 2000. Their son Hudson Taylor soon followed in April of 2002. You can read about Hudson's hospitalization & metabolic diagnosis in 2003. Their third child, Sophia Claire, was born January 2005. "Abby" loves school and wants to become an explorer. Hudson has an outstanding ability in art and has a quiet but loyal personality. And Sophie is the self-designated dictator of all the Calling Levi Children.
Rob and Stephanie married in 1999. They have 2 beautiful girls: Grace Adelynn - born in July of 2003 & Ella Reese - born in October of 2005. Gracie was born to entertain & sing. She loves reading & being an older sister. Ella has a spunky personality & a gift of abnormally loud vocals. Mommy & Daddy couldn't be more proud.
Angela Capito is a vital part of this ministry. She is responsible for all 5 children while we are on the road or in the office. This is just one of the areas that she has been serving. Angela has sacrificed to be with us Full-Time since leaving her home town of Egg Harbor City, NJ in September 2003. Her gifts of serving and prayerful support have been an essential element of Calling Levi.
Sheri Spurgeon, from Libertytown, MD, is our Full-Time office administrator & media director. She was a paralegal before stepping out on faith to join this ministry in the Spring of 2007. She is a perfect fit and an integral part of Calling Levi.
